Job Description

Our team is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead our Mid Market restaurants function for Uber Eats in Japan. This role is a key leadership position in the Scaled business and is responsible for the end-to-end experience of one of the key segments of the Scaled group of restaurant partners. From scaling newly acquired restaurant brands to developing deep strategies and partnerships, this role will be critical to the long term success of our partners and our people.


Responsibilities

  • Work with senior Scaled and Enterprise leadership to drive the overall strategy and growth for your customer segment in the UberEats business in Japan
  • Provide coaching, direction and leadership for a team of sales managers and executives
  • Work with XFN stakeholders to develop strategies to grow, engage and deliver on our Restaurant Partners core objectives
  • Plan and prioritize your teams focus areas and customer segmentation to ensure high efficiency and attainment of customers objectives while taking a strategic, solution based approach
  • Leverage the appropriate suite of Account Management tools are utilized as part of your team strategy, including QBR’s, JBP’s and Account Plans.
  • Facilitate quarterly planning sessions with your teams to ensure Financial and OKR plans are robust and goals are achieved
  • Perform regular review sessions with your team to ensure performance is on track to goals and give coaching and advice to your team to close any performance gaps to target
  • Build the future of the Mid Market function in Japan, from helping shape our Mid Market support function, to prioritizing key brands, to supporting expansion into new markets
  • Meet or exceed monthly team revenue quotas, and manage the operational aspects of acquiring and managing Enterprise restaurant partners
  • Recruit, interview and hire prospective team members
  • Develop a high-performing team culture through 1 on 1 process, Impact check ins, PDP documents and formal/informal coaching

Qualifications 

 What You'll Need 

  • At least 5 years of sales management and/or general management experience
  • At least 8 years of sales experience in a high-growth company
  • Deep understanding of SaaS products and marketplace businesses
  • Demonstrated ability to train and guide sales teams in selling techniques, and to develop and motivate a sales team
  • Skilled at managing sales activities and analyzing metrics to deliver on sales plans
  • Fluent Japanese and Business level English

Preferred Qualifications 

  • If you have an extended network and prior experience in Japan’s restaurant industry are plus
  • MBA preferred
